Office Policies

Our goal is to design and implement a personalized program to help you achieve well-being in body, mind and spirit. We choose to have longer than normal office visits instead of employing medical assistants and nurses. Please read and make note of these policies, which enable us to meet your needs in a thorough and timely manner.

Appointments

-
For all scheduling, billing and account issues: call the office (503) 658-7715, staffed 9am - 5pm Mon-Fri and press the appropriate mailbox prompt.
-
If you need an appointment sooner than your preferred provider has available, please schedule with another provider at our clinic or use your insurance to find another covered provider.
Contacting your provider
-
The best way to contact your provider is to schedule an appointment, either phone or face-to-face.
-
Phone calls with your provider should be scheduled as an appointment. Phone appointments cost $65 per 15 minute increment (most insurance plans do not cover phone appointments).
-
In order for your provider to give medical advice, make assessments, order labs, prescribe/refill medications, recommend supplements and perform other tasks, an appointment will likely be required. Please do not ask the front desk for help with medical issues.
-
While providers welcome informative messages via the patient portal, it is at the providers discretion to require an appointment in order to address complex issues.
Medications

For your safety, medications require monitoring. Each prescription is given with the maximum SAFE number of refills before you need a follow up visit.
-
Please check your pill bottles for the "number of refills remaining" as a reminder to schedule a visit with your provider before it runs out. This will allow the careful monitoring you deserve and ensure medications are being used safely and effectively.
-
If you run out of a medication and cannot schedule a visit with another provider in time, you may need to use an urgent care center to bridge the gap until your next appointment.
-
We do not prescribe ongoing controlled substances (opioids, benzodiazepines, or psychostimulants such as Adderall). Short-term prescriptions for established patients are provided when necessary at the discretion of your provider.
After-hours care

Our providers specialize in holistic care, and do not provide after-hours or urgent care (unless previously arranged with your primary care provider).
