Lee Poe, ND

Lee Poe is a licensed Naturopathic Primary Care Physician. Lee may serve as an entry point for all your medical and health needs.  He has a special interest in chronic pain, chronic infections, gastrointestinal disorders (such as IBS, SIBO, and IBD), and diabetes. He is uniquely skilled in treating musculoskeletal disorders and pain, due to his history with athletics and mind-body medicine. His goal as your provider is to help you live a life filled with joy, connection, and optimal health by identifying obstacles to health and finding the root cause of dis-ease. His treatment approach utilizes therapeutics such as manual therapy, injection therapy, botanical medicine, nutrition, exercise, hydrotherapy, counseling, and pharmaceuticals when called for.

Lee graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM). At an early age, he began studying Qigong with his father, and during his time at the NUNM he was able to continue that study with teachers from the Jin Jing Gong lineage. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in chemistry at the University of Arizona and later went on to complete the massage therapy program at the Ashland Institute of Massage. Prior to attending NUNM, he worked as a behavioral health case manager, giving him additional insight into social impacts on health.

Lee has 17 years of climbing and mountaineering experience and in another life, used to compete in track and the field as a pole vaulter. He currently teaches kinesiology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology at East West College of the Healing Arts. He continues to expand his skills with ongoing regenerative medicine training.

When he's not teaching or doctoring you can find Dr. Poe clinging to a boulder, riding his bike, backpacking, or playing with his dog, Peanut.
